Poly’s life took a dramatic turn when she was found abandoned on a park bench. This three-year-old pit bull, completely blind, was left scared and alone. It was evident she had recently had puppies, although none were found with her. Santa Barbara County Animal Services rescued her from the streets, but they knew she needed specialized care to address her numerous health issues. Aside from her blindness, Poly faced a host of medical issues, including a grade 4 out of 6 heart murmur, swollen mammary glands, enlarged lymph nodes (possibly indicating cancer), and patchy fur.
