My birthday is today, but I’m depressed since nobody has taken the time to wish me a happy birthday.

Today is my birthday, but I haven’t received any birthday wishes yet. As I sit here, scrolling through my phone and checking my messages, I can’t help but feel a sense of disappointment and sadness.  Birthdays are supposed to be joyous occasions, filled with love, laughter, and the warm wishes of friends and family. Yet, as the hours tick by, my notifications remain silent.

In the age of social media and instant  communication, it’s easier than ever to reach out and touch someone’s life, even if just for a moment. A simple “Happy Birthday” can brighten someone’s day and make them feel cherished. However, it seems that amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life, such small gestures are often forgotten or overlooked.

Reflecting on this, I realize that the lack of birthday wishes isn’t necessarily a reflection of how much people care about me, but perhaps a symptom of the times we live in.
